Our client is an international underwriting agency.

Ruolo

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide insurance intermediaries (brokers, agents) with quotations, indications or details of terms and conditions, support
  • Answer queries on the phone and by email
  • Where applicable ensure that company, market and client related documentation is issued (internally and externally) accurately and on time
  • Review documentation and carry out one-off projects
  • New Business production
  • Identify and develop the business strategy and aims of the division and report these at the appropriate meetings
  • Client and Underwriter liaison
  • Prepare, arrange and check proposal forms and full policy schedules, wordings and endorsements
  • Liaise with accounts department regarding payment of premium
  • Perform the duties of an Account Executive according to lawful and ethical standards
  • Undertake any other duties that the organisation may reasonably request to be performed
  • Provide back-up broking as required



Il candidato prescelto

Knowledge and Experience

  • Knowledge with the systems, documentation and procedures of the Lloyd's, London Insurance and Reinsurance Markets
  • Experience and understanding of Professional Risks and the other insurance classes of business
  • Knowledge of the regulatory framework governing insurance
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of the practices and processes of the Lloyd's, London and International insurance and reinsurance markets
  • Previous experience working for a Lloyd's Coverholder and/or Lloyd's Broker relevant but not essential
  • Knowledge of and fluency in personal computer operating systems/application software (e.g. Microsoft Windows; Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Outlook)



Languages

  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Italian

  • Operate as an effective team member by supporting colleagues and contributing in the delivery and achievement of overall team and business objectives
  • Liaise with relevant areas and groups within the company and the group as appropriate for the role
  • Comply with external and internal regulatory and statutory policies, procedures and regulations
  • Identify any internal and external issue that affects the organization and promptly inform the line-manager
  • Undertake any other duties that the company may reasonably request to be performed
  • Undertake professional and career-development training (delivered internally and externally), including the attainment of any related qualification, where required
  • Degree in Economics or Law
  • 1-2 years of previous experience in similar roles
